Something Borrowed

When I read the back of this book I wasn't certain what to think. It sounded interesting, but I also wondered how I would like the heroine.
Rachel White is an attorney in Manhattan and has always been a good girl who never strayed off the right path. On the night of her thirtieth birthday her best friend Darcy throws her a birthday bash. She ends the night by sleeping with Darcy's fiance, Dex.
Try as they might Rachel is completely drawn to Dex.
I was expecting to dislike Rachel because anyone who would sleep with her best friend's fiance can't be a likable character. I was wrong. I enjoyed reading about her struggle and the conflict she feels. Rachel is a very relatable character and you find yourself siding with her, even though she is very in the wrong and she knows it.
I was even pleased with how the book ended. Everything wrapped up nicely and ended well. The book was well paced, keeping you interested and wanting to read more. I recommend picking this book up if you are looking for a fun read. I'm looking forward to reading more books by Emily Giffin.
